First I learned a few things about cars. Apparently there's a little sticker inside that says what your tire's air pressure should be when at full capacity. After checking that I learned how to use the pressure filler (though I have yet to learn what it's official name is) to check and alter the tire pressure. Very exciting.
On the road we listened to some generally great music with much singing along and we started several lists counting (among other things):
Number and kind of roadkill
Number of trucks we could get to honk at us
Number of female truck drivers (there are a lot)
Number of different state's license plates
On the way we passed by many giant crosses (a growing trend perhaps?)
We also passed through downtown Colombus and Indianapolis (below)
With only three quick stops for gas and stretching we made it to St. Louis by 9:30. Thank God for the time change or it would have been much later. As it was I felt a little bad knocking on the Seeskin's door so late, but Elaine and Barry were incredibly welcoming and had lots of good food waiting for us.
Tomorrow we'll stop at the world-famous Ted Drewe's Custard place before we head out to Tulsa. We hear it's the best ice cream you can get and it comes pretty cheap which is good news for recent college grads. We'll let you know how it goes.
Much love to everyone and remember the rules of the road: Have fun but try to avoid hitting a deer.
